Internship

Patriot Strategies' internship program is a great training ground for a future in the communications sector. The firm prides itself on an organized, mentor-driven program for smart, proactive, organized and ambitious young people.

We host several internship positions each semester, and during winter and summer breaks. Resumes are accepted all year long. Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for building, growing and managing business development focused on garnering new client business in diverse marketplace sectors in order to maximize revenue and business expansion; Develop relationships that strategically enhance and contribute to the growth of the Company; Work with internal departments to lead all business proposal development and presentations.

Qualifications:
B.A/M.A. in Public Relations, Marketing or related field; 5 years Business Development experience, 3 to 5 years of PR agency and/or corporate public relations experience; Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; Excellent negotiation skills.

Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, Account Supervisor, Senior Account Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Job Description:

Patriot Strategies, one of the nation's most widely-respected and fastest-growing communications firms, has an immediate need for an exceptional corporate and financial communications Vice President in its Washington, D.C. headquarters. We are looking for a solid pro with at least 12-18 years of experience in business/financial journalism, financial services, in-house corporate communications, reputation management, and/or business/financial regulation.

Our new Vice President will have been an integral part of national and/or international corporate communications teams and handled all aspects of front-line programs, including creation, counsel, and execution.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively under real-time deadline pressure from clients whose businesses and reputations are often at stake, from aggressive broadcast and print journalists, and from blogosphere pundits who seem to work 24/7. We need a solid writer who can effectively manage staff and budgets. This job requires the ability to travel—up to 40 percent—and an extensive knowledge of financial markets and the government bodies that regulate them. Assistant to the President & CEO

Department: Administrative

Key Responsibilities:
Support the President & VPs of Patriot Strategies by providing a full range of administrative services; Assist and work closely with Senior Vice Presidents as needed; Act as key administrative contact and liaison with senior level executives; Develop and cultivate relationships both internally within the company and externally with all appropriate business contacts; Manage all aspects of calendar including organizing meetings and preparing presentations; Handle all aspects of executive travel; Misc. research, duties and projects as required.

Account Executive

Job Location: Washington, DC
Department: Entertainment

Key Responsibilities:
Play a key role with Patriot Strategies elite Sports, Entertainment and Lifestyle clients. Draft and service pitch letters, press releases and media alerts. Create targeted media lists for broadcast, radio and print outlets. Write and distribute press releases to targeted media outlets. Proactively pitch targeted media outlets, including broadcast, print and new media. Write and edit media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets, bios, and case studies. Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss media relations. Daily interaction with various media outlets to discuss upcoming story ideas. Responsible for daily account management activities, such as agendas, recaps, activity reports, media monitoring and coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts. Attend and facilitate media interviews; network with reporters and editors. Coordinate various event planning and media outreach events. Assist in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:
B.S/B.A in Public Relations or related field. At least 2 to 3 years of PR agency experience. Able to handle multiple accounts simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal skills. Creative and energetic personality. Candidates should have agency or in-house experience working with entertainment/celebrity clients, should be comfortable and experienced working events including red carpets.
